Quote: I'm with you on this one. Call me old fashioned, but I don't like the thought of Bruce Wayne being an illegitimate father (there are no illegitimate children, only illegitimate parents). I know it's fiction, and I know that "in real life it happens all the time," but why glorify it? Every time sexual relationships are portrayed in the media, you never truly see the bad fruits that come from them. The broken homes. Unwanted pregnancies. Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and so on. Sure, we're seeing a kid that Bruce Wayne made coming back and acting like a real jerk, but have we ever seen Bruce at all sorry for his sexual shenanigans? Not that I can recall.
How can he be sorry for something that he didn't know about? Besides, how often do you see Bruce say he's sorry?
As to the consequences in other media, you need to look a bit further. There's plenty of feature films, television films and television shows that focus on the consequences of one's actions. Be it the main characters or guest stars.
