I really do hope you'll correct me on this!

Why would you have that vibe? I haven't said anything derogatory about anyone or anything middle eastern. I wanted a different character other than Damian because as Batman's son, Damain is well centered in the Bat family. I felt the same about Tim Drake initially, as I saw a new Robin as a chance for a widening of the Bat Family past another white male. No, I don't have anything against Dick's ethnicity (Romani) or Tim's, but I was more interested when Robin was female (Dark Knight Returns, Spoiler) and when Cassie became Batgirl who was initially mute. Damian is in by birth, and as new Bat characters aren't created often, I would have fathered a new character and a different ethnicity.

Well originally you said you'd prefer a Robin who was a different ethnicity, and then when Damian was pointed out you basically said that he didn't count, without giving any other reasons why at the time. That kinda gave the impression that either 1.) you had something against that ethnicity, 2.) you didn't count it as a different ethnicity at all, or 3.) you had another, specific ethnicity in mind that you'd have preferred (maybe black or hispanic) and you just weren't saying that outright.
