Subj: Oh, just a bit of self-contained writing for a change.

Reply Subj: Batman has become interesting to me again for the first time since Hush, what does Bruce know?

Batman knows something, it was indicated it Batman: The Return. What is your speculation?

We see some mysterious figures. Bruce says "game on" it is clearly nothing like what has come before so far. It has always been (as of the past decade it seems, from Fugitive, to Hush, Hush 2, R.I.P, and so on) someone always trying to remain one step against the most dangerous man alive. Always trying to claim the title for themselves. This time it seems Bruce knows who is coming, and whoever it is knows this and is ready for it. Like a boxing match with two opponents that have study every fight each other have fought, they are getting ready. Building an army.

What is it Batman thinks he needs to build (a mostly human Bat-army, ala The Dark Knight returns) that the Justice LEague can't handle? Why can't he trust them, and is going to virtually unknown people?

Is it possible we might see the Super-team go evil? Superman, Supergirl, Power Girl, Superboy, etc? Or is it something far worse? (I hope something far more clever, too, heh)

What do you guys speculate?

I think Grant Morrison is going back to writing the Bat-Universe as just that, the Bat-Universe. A bit more self-contained, less taint from other titles. Making it easier for the reader to pick up Batman, and nothing but Batman-books. \:\)

So, that's why I think Batman is using nothing but Bat-men to fight this upcoming threat.

It's quite refreshing really, and something I wish DC would do to ALL of its titles. Make them almost completely self-contained. Much in the same way Marvel was, ca 1999-2003.

Can't wait to see what Morrison cooks up!
