Back in the 80s Batman and Detective were interlinked for quite some time, I'm thinking particularly the Night Stalker/Nocturne arc, but as someone who has never been able to map out a cohesive checklist can anyone point to how to read that era...? \(fear\)

I found this on another site after seeing your query, Davey. Here are the issues:

Batman:362,376,377,378,379,380,381,382,389,390,391

Detective: 529,530,542,543,544,545,546,547,556,557,558,560

Now, be aware that a LOT of Detective Comics back in the '80's were Chapter 2's of 3-parters, and thus mostly full of recaps. I don't know how many of 'em are like that, though. You can find the covers of the books on milehighcomics.com too. \:\)

Hope this all helps you out. \:\)
