Holy Kitten Caboodling, Batman!
Going into all the premieres with a bad taste after the first few. However, despite how wrong the new DCnU is for me, this issue had too many good little things that ended up in a fun read.
The little things:
-gorgeous cover [Though the forced pose looks... well, forced.]
-the entertaining narration throughout really introduced this new take on her and was continuation of the strong narration of her previous Catwoman run [Though the upside down "W" symbol makes NO sense and better be flipped by next issue!]
-no longer forced to share title with Harley and Ivy
-actual cats played a part in the premiere [Though not clear how they were corralled so quickly.]
-'on the run' right away. Thats who she always has been. [Though not sure her mindstate to save her costume over valuables.]
-clever title and exciting title page
-(But I probably did
-Showgirl Lola as a new character properly introduced in a premiere and more interesting compared to some other few and far between #1 introduced cast
-Ivgene Clan as a new enemy with lots of potential for recurrence
-the cameo of Hooded Woman theme going on
-her opinion of groping and dirtbags works
-good AND clear flashback layout and character moment for Selina
-enter Batman on cue
-Batman's metal lipgloss
-THOUGH I SURE AS HELL DON'T KNOW WHO BATMAN IS [Though not crazy about most of this retcon backpedally its very reader friendly to state this point blank.]
-not a one night stand [Though... maybe that is TMI]
-Holy Cat's in the Cradle, Batman! So, THAT is what Rated: "T" means! [Though you probably will come up with a better PC euphamism.
Still missing my brother...
