Thought it was good as last time. There was decent pace, artwork, and storybuild. It was enjoyable given the fact that it could be read with no need to connect dots to the DCnU for this ish - save maybe the younger depictions of Gordon and Bullock.
What did seem out of character with the DC-old was actually playing the playboy as opposed to acting it. He had impulse sex with this reporter and also Selina already and the DCnU is just starting. Also it seemed very wrong to use such a vulnerable, plain looking Batcycle as transport. But then again this is the DCnU and these comparisons are getting tired real fast as opposed to the desire for pure story appreciation. On the other hand, the cool bike scene makes a decent banner moment, eh?
Did not catch if this is 5 years ago, as failed in Action, or that Q-Core refers to Ollie's company. Footnotes are needed to help DCnU better emulate the Marvel shared universe.
Fair points and the whole issue SPOILERed here:
though the verdict is too low considering all the decent content. Plus, the cliffhanger was as shocking as the creepy one in 1! This Dollmaker has potential as a nuBatRogue. Probably would rate it closer to this:
Neat peeks at next issue here:
