Sam Hamm's return to Batman has me wondering if anyone noticed in his and Denys’s Detective Comics #599, that he introduced Henri Ducard as an infamous "manhunter" who also taught this "art" to Bruce?

How has no one picked up on this since?

That is, Hamm was obviously hinting Ducard was a part of the ancient sect of crime fighters.

Was he intending to suggest they were perhaps planning to have Bruce join them? That’s a tale that needs telling, don’t you think?

I don't think that Sam Hamm hinted that Henri Ducard is an agent of the Manhunter cult.

In my opinion, it is explicit that Henri Ducard is a barbouze: he is a French investigator & hitman who tracks & kills terrorists and he is also a middleman for international arms deals.
