The guy seems prepared.

CBR: With so many major characters having died and returned – some multiple times – how difficult is it to come up with a fresh way to resurrect dead iconic heroes? Do you go so far as to plan the return when you plot the death?

Brubaker: I didn't, no. But I've got the next two years of Cap plotted, if that says anything.

This tells me he hasn't even considered his return, yet anyways. And has 2 years worth of great stories. He definitely thinking for the long run, this will be interesting.

Cap coming back is inevitable, but his death could easily have been done poorly and his resurrection could be handled worse, but if Brubaker's writing it, I am very, very optimistic. So many people thought bringing Bucky back was a disaster. Then they picked up the book and suddenly it became a blessing in disguise. maybe that's what Cap's death will turn out to be. The story potential it offers with Brubaker at the helm is enough to keep me excited about the book, even if i hate the idea of the title character being absent from its pages.
