> While I must say that I have enjoyed Ed Brubaker’s work on this Captain America series I would like to see him show why Cap respected Bucky so much. Bucky had pretty much the same feelings and out look as Cap. Which is what made him idolize him so much, and want to become his partner. And Bucky was just a kid with no super powers. > > Bru did go into this a little during the "Winter Soldier" arc. He talked about how Cap was reluctant to take on a partner so young, but he did realize that America's youth needed a symbol and that Bucky could hold his own in a fight. Eventually, after years of fighting, they had developed a brotherly/best friend relationship that surpassed any other need in their relationship. I hope this helps. -bigtime out. | |||||||
