If I recall correctly, it was revealed in Lobo's own book that he "took a dive" against Wolverine. Doesn't make a difference to me, though. Crossovers are only one piece in any character's history.

Once you bring in Hulk, though, you're no longer going by the crossover, but by the crossover plus cherry picked Hulk and Venom encounters. If you do that, you should do the same with Superman, in my opinion. Superman has defeated Darkseid with authority; Darkseid stalemated Thanos; Thanos ... , etc.

It's all moot to me, though, for the reason stated above.
