I can't remember the last time Mr Fantastics power was really explored writers have just focused on the moral/immoral scientist aspect and abandoned the rest of him as 'Guy-who-stretches'...

He should get more respect I agree, but it depends entirely on the level of Brick here.
He's just about managed to contain/restrain Ben in the past but Reed is still pretty vulnerable even in this form, he's not like plastic man who is slightly more adept and extremely tough to harm, he can actually be fixed up even if harmed.
I think realistically he could hope to bring down anybody in the Mr Hyde range of strength and may be able to suffocate any number of higher bricks, but there is a physical limit as to what he can accomplish and what he can endure...
