As I said, they may wield a bit of magic, but they are not magical in nature. IIRC, only in Mystic's book do we get implications of them having mystical capabilities. But it's been a while since I read them books, so I won't argue further.

Yes, you may be right. But one point made explicitly clear in the books is that the Sigils could drain the First so easily because they all shared/originated from the same power well. And that could be said about Atlanteans as well. So, what I wanna say is that, while Sigil-Bearers can potentially do anything, not everything comes naturally at first and Javi didn't really face any true mystical threat before.
