I remember this debate coming up years ago and i dont think Sentry really makes contact with the edge of the blade at all. The guy has the speed to grab them wherever he wants and he exerts contact on the flat of the blade. I dont think you could definitively say either way but based on the historical efficacy of the blades I think there is good reason to think Sentry avoided most if not all contact with the edge of the blade.

I dont think Sentry and Superman have hard durability an order of magnitude above someone like Thor or Hulk and Logan has a history of cutting through things he shouldnt like steel walls and concrete.
