With his "Cosmic Armor" on him...

Superman in FC was shown to be a multiversal powerhouse...

Would say that he was right there with the 5-D Imps, and the highest end Angelic Hosts, like a Lucifer/Micheal..
What of the non-cosmic version of Superman in Final Crisis, i.e., the Superman who sang Darkseid's spirit into oblivion and performed those other feats Omar Karindu recently documented?

Most powerful Superman? Assuming that we are meaning here the Kal-El versions...

Morrisons Kal of 1 Million/Final Crisis

What feats are informing you here? Also, what are the highest level characters you imagine these writers, if free to write whatever they like, would have Superman beat, and how would they have Superman beat them?

Thanks.

If what Omar has told me is correct, the armor that Superman wears isn't just made for Superman, it's made from Superman, too -- from his ultimate form: the Platonic ideal of him.

The Platonic ideal defined

Morrison played around with the idea of the Platonic ideal in Rock of Ages and World War III. As Morrison explained to me at Wizard World years back, Adam One was a higher form of Superman. As I recall, higher forms of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Batman were also seen in those stories.
