Osborne can have all the access he wants but I don't think these beings are going to take out Asgard and the gods that live there. Basically the writers can write the story with Asgard losing and they could write the story with Asgard winning but to me on paper there isn't enough bad guys to take on Asgard and win.
Quote:Osborn has access to pretty much everything he wants. He has characters like Freak and the Answer at his disposal who, given time, can develop a way to defeat nearly anyone. I doubt these D-listers will get much attention, but with all of the no-name characters out there that have really unique powers, surely Norman could bring the right tools to win a prepped sneak attack. A hand full of characters with mind control or illusion powers would cause all kinds of chaos in Asgards and with all of that going on I think folks like the Rhino, Ironclad, and even guys like Venom can do a lot of damage to the gods.
I really think the main area you're misunderstanding is this; The vast majority of Asgard is not populated with gods or magic users... it's mostly just Asgardians. Yes several magical and godly beings live there to be sure, but most are just plain old 20-40 ton soldiers. Not gods each and every one like you seem to think. Spiderman has a VERY good chance of taking out any random Asgardian he might face. Speed, skill, and strength are a potent combination in someone with the field experience Spidey has against a foe who is a relatively underpowered brick. We've all seen him deal with Rhino, Sandman and even Juggernaut... your average Asgardian doesn't bring much to the table Spidey hasn't dealt with before. That being said; Osborn is bringing a lot more to this siege than Spiderman level threats.
