    and the DC retcons are less obvious and less well known, in part because I think this board has more people who read more Marvel titles, but also the level of protection Starlin has shown for Thanos is hard to ignore.
    The Desaad retcon is easy to miss.  The avatars retcon is kind of meaningless, because if you're always dealing with avatars, then we're always dealing with avatars, so thats what we deal with.......
    I will say that in many cases, I have a hard time keeping track of when events happened, did something happen before or after a retcon...but Darkseid has enough showings that put him at least in striking distance or imply he's within striking distance of DC top tiers that are before and after the Desaad showing as to make it kind of a moot point IMO.

Not sure how you can say that. Thanos showings were retconned by Starlin in a mini which wasn't even that much referenced. Grant Morrison retconned Darkseid losses in Final Crisis and has followed that in Multiversity. Nobody even tries to take that retcon in consideration. It's just bias at the end.

You've repeated that Darkseid is in touching distance from top tiers when the comics show exactly otherwise.
