Do you have a link? When I google it the interviews keep saying he's done with Marvel because the story he's working on is too similar to one playing out in the ongoing series.

I do not, I saw it in the flood of interviews around the time of his break with Marvel.
The logic however, was that the first book is coming out (and I believe ends on a cliffhanger) the scripts are all written.
And while he may have been paid upfront (which would certainly make it complicated) the big reason was that he didn't want to screw Alan Davis out of the money.
