Quote: Wasn't he galen in a prior Universe, who merged with the Eternity of that Universe and came out as Galactus? Not originally. As recounted in Thor #169: 1. Galen is just from another planet and not from the previous universe. The survivor from another universe idea came later. 2. Galen's world Taa didn't die because the universe was ending. There was a plague on Taa that wiped almost everyone but Galen and few other survivors out. Galen and the others end up flying into the universe's largest star because they thought it would be a glorious thing to do. Everyone but Galen died and Galen became transformed by the cosmic energy. The Watcher saw the ship skittering through space and came aboard the ship and observed. The Watcher left, Galen dumped the bodies of his compatriots in space (are those guys really dead? there's a story) and then began designing his body armor, changed his ship and then a few centuries later he emerged as Galactus. 3. Eternity wasn't involved. 4. Read the issue here: http://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Thor-1966/Issue-169?id=7723 ![]() | |||||||
