I hated it. Both as a story and ruining of a classic character.

We get the build to an epic slug fest with Galactus and Thor vs a multiversal threat. Then, nothing.

Galactus is retconned into being a lacky and of no particular importance I guess, Thor humiliates him outright and the Black Winter is dealt with like a joke villain of the weak.

And the big reveal is Thanos. Becasue Thanos is scarier than Galactus I guess. I know he had the IG and Mjolnir in it, but it is not like that has not happened before or something unique at this point.

Cates really has it in for Galactus but this time it is worse because it is apparently in cannon.

The reason I canceled my Thor comics.

Galactus was meant to be that big bad threat, the one that even the gods were afraid to face down, but now we find that he was a scared brat running away from his master, and now doa!
