I am not sure I agree with the symbolism he was taken of Galactus but agree with the rest.

I think he views Galactus as a bench mark and just keeps going back to him. His speaking through Thor sounded like what a fans take would be not knowing anything about the character other than him being a genocidal giant.

Which is true but not the total point. Galactus is very powerful, but it seems if that is all that he was, he would not be that important to the abstracts or anything as such. Period.

It was really taking the worst aspects of Thor fanboyism and running amock with it.

I am actually a big fan of Thor as well, but the treatment of Galactus in that first issue alone got me to cancel my Thor for the first time in my life when there was a title going.

And I freaking suffered through Jane Thor, barely but made it.

Marvel had it best when galactus was the third great power, Cosmic balance between eternity and death!
