Quote:I mean he has been that until this I guess, but the abstracts do not show up that much honestly. And it is not great when they do.
Quote:It is honestly not just a Galactus issue, he is the poster boy for it with this being one of the worst. But many of the cosmic characters have had rough showings in recent years.
Quote:Galactus fighting Celestials is fine, but suddenly Asgard has a Celestial killing axe...I guess they did not need the Destroyer after all and that failed despite having all of Asgard and Odin in after enchantment by multiple skyfathers.
Quote:I get not all cannon lasts forever, but they stopped caring about any character not carrying their own titles for the most part outside of a few exceptions.
Quote:I thought Dr. Strange did a good job with Galactus but even then I was surprised it was that one sided between Dormammu and Galactus.
A sated or hyper-sated Galactus should be one-shotting Skyfather class characters, IMHO.
Galactus should be operating at the high end of Skyfather class at "normal" levels, meaning in-between meals which has historically been shown.
A starving/near-death Galactus (think Byrne's FF/Avengers story) falling into low end Skyfather status.
That allows Galactus to be beyond the reach solo top tiers in situations where he may be the antagonist (looking for a meal) but not completely untouchable.
There's also the fact that Galactus is a "metamorphosed embodiment of a cosmos", a universally relevant character who blurs the line between physical and abstract and in his sated state I think that status should be reflected, as it was in the more recent Dr. Strange run.
