Dresden as in that Constatine lite wannabe that was on scifi series like one season?

I watched the show a little bit, but it is based on a much better book series. I think it is like 17 novels in with the last two having come out in July and Sept. of this year. There are some short stories too.

Honestly, I do not think he is much like Constantine. John is very jaded in most respects. Harry really depends on what part of the series you want to pick him from but he is usually the wizard trying to do the right thing for the little guy and swinging outside of his weight class against vampires, demons, spirts, various gods and monsters.

Not trying to force it on you or anything. I merely brought it up because I have enjoyed the depictions. Mentions of angels etc. really do not come up much in the series honestly.

The TV show was ok, it missed alot of stuff from the books and felt sort of hollow to me. But I really enjoy the books.

Not high literature by any means, but I tend to enjoy fantasy and this one is modern urban fantasy that sort of incorporates everything.

I am a big fan, no need for us to like all the same things I suppose. If you do read it, the first two books are probably the weakest in the series, so I would try to get to book three before passing full judgement. The first two are not bad, but are not as strong yet.

Given it was Butchers first attempt, it is still pretty solid.
