I remember watching one episode of this show back when it was first was on at my someone else's house and I remember liking it. I didn't have TV in my place (the dorms) and didn't see any others. My question is, does it hold up? If someone saw it now for (essentially) the first time would they think it is good? I know this is subjective, but are the stories good? Not just the effects? I guess another way to ask this is, do you think it is good?
I just wanted see what fans thought. Thanks,
Eric

I actually just stumbled uopn the old VHS version of the pilot movie (in Japan, no less) and had to watch it. For me, anyway, it held up surprisingly well. The characters had interesting little nuances to them, they referenced the comics pretty often, the actors aren't bad, and the threat levels were pretty decent. Can't say much for the FX, of course, but if you can get past that I highly recommend this particular trip down memory lane.

God, that sounds like an ad, doesn't it?
