> I'm bringing this over from the Comicbloc boards. Mike Wieringo, artist of FLASH, TELOS, IMPULSE, SPIDER MAN, FANTASTIC FOUR, and creator of IMPULSE, died of a heart attack yesterday at age 44. My condolences to his family and friends.

I believe he always went out of his way to comment that he didn't create Impulse, Mark waid did, "all" he did was design him... as if that was any less of an achievement!

A sad loss to the industry, and of course, to his family and friends.

I just read this minutes ago. I'm absolutely stunned. This is the most tragic loss since Mike Parobeck's untimely death. I loved Mike Wieringo's art. It is clean, simple, fun, and entertaining. I was first introduced to his work on the Flash. Its what brought me back to the Flash after years of not reading it. Tellos, Spider-Man, FF, he made them all fun. Ringo made comics fun in a world of gone awry. Very sad news. Very sad indeed.
