I am kind of new to The Flash, meaning -- I have not really followed him for any extended period of time, and that was several years ago. Still, I really like the character and thought I might like to get into reading this comic again. When I looked at the most recent couple of issues in the comic shop, where he was carrying some kids, etc. it didn't really grab me, and I was not sure what was going on. It seems to be in the middle of an extended arc, so I thought I might wait until this arc finishes. I just wanted to ask --

1. How are others enjoying this title? Is it good to jump in and follow on a regular basis? What are the things you like best about it?

2. What are some good, older storylines, TPBs, etc. regarding The Flash, which are your favorites and that you would recommend?

Thanks very much. I think this post is my first on this board.

The two volumes of the black and white Showcase Presents: The Flash are worth getting if you want to see the debut appearances of Barry Allen, Wally West and all of the major villains.

The Flash: Born to Run is a good story that goes into more detail on Wally West's first few days with super speed.

Honestly, the majority of Flash TPBs are worth checking out. There are very few duds.
