Like father, like son?

The CW's upcoming superhero series â€œThe Flashâ€ has found it's role for John Wesley Shipp, who played the speedy, red-tighted hero in CBS's â€œThe Flashâ€ in the 1990s.

In a move that's perhaps not surprising, Shipp has been cast as Henry Allen, the father of Barry Allen, AKA the Flash, who's being played by â€œGleeâ€ alum Grant Gustin.

Sounds fair, though given the Allens are murdered before the series even starts I wonder if this suggests that the series might be adopting Arrow's use of flashback sequences to create ongoing dual narratives?
