I'm wondering if that's the reality at the other end of the singularity. But then that wouldn't work...Jay shouldn't be in that one.

It does make sense : Barry wouldn't have become the Flash and Jay would have, instead.

I've heard Cavanaugh comes back. But instead of coming back as the real Harrison or reprising the role of Eobard he comes back as the Harrison Wells from Earth 2.

Rick Cosnett has been cast on the ABC show Quantico. If he comes back I bet it will only be for an episode.

Except to please Geoff Johns, I don't understand why the TV creators insist that the Flash should have a traumatic past ...
Contrary to Batman and Spider-Man, it was never an important part of the character.
On the contrary, Barry Allen was only a decent person who believed in justice & science ... and, thus, became a forensic scientist.
What is wrong with that ?

A major complain about the Arrow/Flashverse ?

It is full of low-cost versions of other comics characters :
- Arrow ? Low-cost Batman.
- Vertigo ? Low-cost Scarecrow.
- Deathstroke ? Low-cost Bane.
- Flash ? Low-cost Spider-Man.
- Ray Palmer ? Low-cost Iron Man.
Sigh.
