Regarding Barry's sudden conclusion that Vandal wasn't a meta but something magical.....Cisco DID ask him if this has anything to do with what happened with ZOOM.

Yes, but Vandal Savage displayed no "clear" mystical powers and the only thing they had to go on were ancient daggers. Sorry, but Barry shouldn't have been able to automatically know Vandal Savage wasn't a metahuman, he was given next to no evidence.

Why are they still not trying to do what they did in Season 1 to recharge Jay and Barry? Oh yeah, the speed formula that I said was coming. They should still try what the did in season 1.

Agreed, they do need to try that but they have amnesia, which is why they aren't trying again.

as to the Mach 2 thing, RF states that Barry must be at mach 2 when he hit the particle to form the wormhole. Barry was also at around mach 2+ speeds when he first timewarped, while it is true that lightspeed is normally required, it is possible that once Barry hits Mach 2+ he can enter the speed force and then IS at light speeds....

Sorry, not buying it. If Mach 2+ is required to enter the Speed Force, then that means Barry cannot ever achieve speeds more than Mach 2 as he would always be entering the Speed Force or time traveling. And we were told in this episode that Zoom is 3 to 4 times faster than Barry. I'd say that's more than Mach 2. And Barry needs to be faster than Zoom to beat him and that means he needs to be faster than Mach 2 but cannot do that if he just enters the Speed Force upon hitting that speed. Thus, lightspeed is required to enter the speed force since that makes far more sense than Mach 2+ as I have already explained.

It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?
