Dropped the title awhile ago but the TV series is so darn good that it's tempting to give the book another try to see if they've channeled any of that success. The Warner Bros. VARIANT cover for this issue is PERFECT racing image - and future Must See actual crossover special! The preview looks alright too. Did you read the ish - is there anything to rave about it?

I shall lay my cards on the table and come clean - I have tried a couple of issues of the Robert Venditti/Brett Booth reign and quite frankly found it unreadable. I failed even to make it to the end of both of those two books. There is a peculiar effect with Barry Allen's Flash for me as for as long as I have been aware of his book it has failed to attract me. In the days when I read basically anything the Cary Bates/Carmine Infantino years were an abysmal experience, and here with Venditti/Booth that same antipathy is being reflected thanks to inpenetrable storytelling and eyebleeding art. But to give the Bates/Infantino years some small credit I can read and understand what is going on, not so with Venditti's scripting... \(no\)
