Quote:Season 3 is a tough one. A great chunk of it will probably be devoted to a) rectifying the changes Barry made at the end of Season 2, and b) reconciling the Supergirl show with the shared universe. So much of it will already be mapped out.
Man, I hope not. A few episodes at most should be dedicated to "Flashpoint" and the Universe merging but not most of the season. If that happens, I, for one, won't be tuning in to season 3 (with the exception of watching the crossover episodes).
Quote:1) Enough with the speedsters, already. Leave Reverse-Flash until Season 4 or 5. No more Zoom. Let's have some fresh ideas instead of rehashes of old ones.
No more Reverse Flash PERIOD! If they fix his Time Paradox problems, great. After that, keep his re-appearances to the comics that are based on the show. Thawne's story has been told, it's time for new ideas, fresh ideas and I definitely agree it's time to stop using old ideas for the Flash. I do not want to see Reverse Flash 3.0!
Quote:2) Power down Barry. He just needs to be the fastest man alive, not the fastest thing ever. I've always said that every Flash comic should be about two pages long. First page, the bad guy attacks. Second page, Barry hears of the attack on the news. Before the bad guy can escape, there's a red blur and the bad guy is found thirty feet away with his jaw hanging off. End of story.
In the season 2 finale we saw Barry clear the streets of a dozen or more metahumans in the space of a few seconds. How could ANY of them possibly present a credible threat to him? He needs to lose a good deal of his speed. A top speed of a few hundred mph is fine.
I partially agree with this, but powering him down to a few hundred miles per hour is way too much man. Come on. He wouldn't be very effective that slow. It'd take forever for him to reach crime scenes. Just long enough for villains to kill innocents and make their escape.
I say power him down to the point Barry can't time travel, no more traveling to other worlds under his own power either and ESPECIALLY no more Time Remnants. But that's it, I say it's perfectly fine if his top speed is Mach 3. Barry NEEDS to be fast.
Quote:3) Ease up on the crossovers and guest appearances. We've already got a four way crossover coming up. I assume Jay will be back, but that should be limited to one or two appearances at most. Jay would be better served in a JSA series.
Agreed. Almost the first half of Arrow season 4 was setting up Legends of Tomorrow and to a lesser extent the Flash was as well. So, definitely agreed on this one.
Quote:4) No more time travelling.
AGREED! The showrunners have shown a complete disregard for their own rules they establish then break them on a whim, sometimes minutes after establishing them!
Quote:5) No more time remnants.
INFINITELY agreed on this one! Not only do they NOT make any sense at all, it's BEYOND HORRIBLE writing to have a Time Remnant die without the real Flash/Zoom not dying as well.
It's interesting that a hero/villain performs one amazing feat, or use a power they haven't used for 20+ years, and that automatically propels them to a high status despite scans and evidence to the contrary. I don't know what is worse, selective feat picking that has only been done once or twice 20, or more, years ago or ignoring evidence from scans or the lack thereof. We need to stop putting our favorite heroes/villains on pedestals and start putting them where they really belong. But it's evident that people never will because they would rather accuse others of cherry picking feats, when they don't, and being 'morally superior' when they aren't. I guess being honest and as fair as possible only opens one up to being the target of childish accusations and fault finding by those who insist on acting petty and childish. What happened to a good debate between two civil, mature, adults?
