One is the son of Daniel West, the other is the son of Rudy West, both named after their grandfather.

And since "old" Wally was removed from everyone's memories, it would work if "new" Wally was born in that timeframe, but I don't think that fits since "new" Wally seems teenaged.

If not, I guess it is not unheard of for cousins to have similar names,
(My mother in law has a sister Gwen and cousin Gwen, my dad has two cousins named LeRoy and LeeRoy)
but in such a small family it would be unique.

Ah hah! I'm guessing you are unfamiliar with boxing legend George Foreman and his five sons he named "George"? \(lol\)

Foreman has ten children, and each of his five sons is named George: George Jr., George III, George IV, George V, and George VI. They are also known by the nicknames "Monk", "Red", "Joe" "Big Wheel" and "Little George". His five daughters are Michi, Georgetta, Freda George, Natalie, and Leola. He also has two adopted daughters.
