I like the actor very much, but the Zoom character made not a lot of sense in the end for me. It is strange how incredibly loyal this show is to the actors who play in it, Both Tom Cavanagh and John Wesley Shipp are now on their third or fourth life... it might be seen as charming, but the result is that the series is beginning to feel very constrictive and limited. Too much recycling and an unwillingness to move on.

I have no problem with Cavanagh- as Harrison Wells creator of the particle accelerator and the Flash- still being a regular.  IT somehow fits.

JWS- there is something of too much of a good thing (and I had such a crush on him back from his soap opera days).   Since Flashpoint won't last long...I would hope Dr. Allen remains dead (that sounds so sick), but that he can recur as Flash from Earth 3.  Better yet, let him go to Legends and be a counterpart to Reverse Flash.

Hopefully, with the expansion of the Rogues  there won't be too much recycling.  Without some new direction...I fail to see this series lasting till Season 5.  :(
