Quote:I know we've been down on Flash this season...but this episode was great IMO.
Quote:The best part of the episode IMO was that conversation between Barry and Oliver and Oliver sharing what happened to his parents (and I think that guy Robert Queen killed...either that guy or his son is Prometheus). I think Barry and Oliver's friendship is sort of what holds the Arrowverse together. Honestly I thought this was some of Amell's best work and it wasn't even on his own show.
Quote:I thought Cisco was kind of a whiny b*tch even though I agree with him. I'm glad Diggle found out about baby Sara. I enjoyed Ray telling Barry about Captain Cold and I enjoyed seeing a scene with Stein and Caitlyn...I kind of hope they become close friends.
That's what I'm talking about! This is what I wanted to see yesterday. This episode was nearly perfect. I have nary a nitpick.
I found it curious that Kara trusts Barry so deeply that even after Barry admitted he'd altered the timeline and everyone else (but Oliver) was angry with him Kara was like No, I'll always trust you. I guess she's just a trusting type, so the one adventure they had was enough to make them friends for life to her.
Like you said Oliver standing up for Barry and being so reassuring and supportive was a nice counter-point to Cisco's "bitching."
The part about Captain Cold was great. Especially considering on most occasions Cold and Barry have been enemies and yet Barry is obviously deeply moved by his death and of him going out a "hero"
The scene with Stein and Caitlin was nice. I think they are already close friends, in a father daughter sort of way.
The stuff with Iris being overprotective of Wally was slightly annoying, but hey, if my brother was suddenly a superhero I'd worry about him too.
But I can't believe no one mentioned by favorite part of the episode Kara and Rory's interactions. How he said he wasn't going to call her Supergirl or Kara, that he was going to call her "Skirt." Then it kind of killed it though, when two minutes later when they're in trouble he does shout "Supergirl, do something!"
I also loved Supergirl beating everyone up without breaking a sweat.
A great start. If the next two are this good, this will one for the books.
