Reply Subj: Any particular reason or did they just like the cover?

The secondary market prices for Spawn issues #174 and 175, featuring the origin of Gunslinger Spawn, are astronomical. Raw copies are in the $250 range. High grade cgc copies are in the $450++++ range.

Spawn 306 had a "surprise", unannounced 4th cover that featured Gunslinger Spawn, even if he is not in the story, and right out of the gate it was already selling for $20-$25 when it came out. Now, it's around $60-$80 for a raw copy.

Spawn 309 (and 308) is Gunslinger Spawn's introduction to the present day, where Al Simmons is the current Spawn, and they are, no doubt headed for a confrontation....so fan interest is high. The Gunslinger variant cover for 309 immediately sold out, some retailers were not able to get copies. First print copies now are around $25 now (and issue 310 is not even out yet). Demand is through the roof, hence the 2nd printing.
