Does anyone else think that there's more to Miriam Sharpe than meets the eye? I mean, her son's name was Damian and you can unscramble her name to at least spell out "Mephis", most of "Mephisto".

I noticed that in the latest issue of Civil War she has another scene with Reed and Tony thanking them for pushing her "big idea". With Brevoort going on record stating that 2007 will be a big year for Mephisto, does anyone think that Marvel is laying the groundwork for an evil mastermind in case their realistic, "there is no right or wrong here" approach doesn't work? Or perhaps it was planned from the start?

To be honest, I'd prefer it if Mephisto was behind the whole thing.

Thoughts?

I agree that something has struck me as just plain wrong about Miriam from the very beginning. And there always seems to be something conveniently poignant about each appearence she has made in the series. From hating Tony Stark/IronMan to admitting her dead childs idolization of him. If Mephisto was somehow manipulating events from the beginning it would make certain actions of certain characters much more understandable. And far more easily acceptable on my part.
