Solomon Kane had two series from Marvel, one in the 70s and a brief mini in the 80s. He was a licensed character much like Conan, etc.

Yes. Solomon Kane was created by Robert E. Horward. He appeared in comic book form in Marvel Premiere and the Savage Sword of Conan, and I think he was appearing in some other Marvel horror comics in the seventies. In the eighties you have the Sword of Solomon Kane mini-series.
