With all due respect...

personal opinion - It's like someone took a beautiful stain glass window and smashed it with a hammer. One of the writers made comment that a character wasn't in touch with the real world.
First, since when did these characters start dealing in the real world? They are fictional characters, of which they do, to some of us, stand as symbols of our own lives.
Secondly, if they were in a real world event, how would they handle, such. I remember Marvel doing a 9/11 comic, with the usual symbolic images. The most note worthy one was when Spiderman was swinging along and then he hears the first plane crash and you could tell how it effected him. In the Marvel Universe, i am wondering why Osama bin Laden or Saddam Hussein were not already captured and put on trial or some other aspect of why the hero's couldn't go after the bad guys.
I have never heard of any explanation to this effect.

Lastly, in my opinion, making sure to not knock anyone or flame anyone or speak harshly of anyone, i would have approached this problem from a different point of view.
You have an incident. Innocents are killed. You investigate and then you go get the bad guys. If it is a conspiracy or whatever, you root out everyone of them. Basically you sell this a different way. As i have learned, "presentation is everything." The way it was approached was to hard lined, to much of a yin/yang leaving no grey area.
Marshal law, totalitarian society.
Me, i stand with the outlaws and those who fight for basic rights.
You have a gift, by all means, use them for the good of society. use them wrongly and you are gonna get nailed!

Well considering that the "bad guys" where heroes I'd say its a lot more deeper than. And yes I know Nitro was the one who blew himself up but who attacked him the middle of a suburban area?

By all means have your rights, just let me exercise my right to not have to worry about being blown up who can escape responsibilty and reprecussion by taking of a mask.

Nicely put. Use them wrongly and get nailed. I assume the same goes if you use them irresponsibly?
