Well now you've done it. No going back. I was always slightly interested in The Initiative - I've grown to like comics that are sort of patchwork quilts of the MU - but never picked it up. Slapstick just wasn't enough of a reason.

And now you bring in Prodigy. I know the death toll in this comic has been pretty high, so I'm slightly worried that Prodigy will bite it in his first issue. But if he doesn't, if he stays around, I will be a loyal fan of the Initiative - I'll even buy every back issue.

Treat him well, Mr. Slott - although I know you will: your characterization and nods to continuity without hampering yourself is too rare these days. Ritchie is a proud young man who wants to be a hero more than anything. His personality in Slingers was so strong it burst off the page - but maybe he's learned some since his escapades in Mephisto's realm. It'd be nice to know how he got his powers back. Joe Harris left them pretty undefined, but it was all about that red cape. And hey, if you have time for a Prodigy/Ricochet reunion/slugfest, I'd be fine with that too. I can't wait 'til May now.

I was only reading for Taskmaster, but this is a double treat!
