I first suggested this at various points around the internet years ago. I was heartened by the fact that Marvel did publish Masterwork and Omnibus editions of some of that material. It seems perfect for Essentialization.

The title seems obvious, but it was actually Kurt Busiek who suggested it, again years ago, after I suggested such a volume under a different title (I don't remember what mine was, but it probably sucked).

I wish someone would Essentialise the Ditko, Tom Sutton and Joe Staton material from the things-that-go-bump-in-the-night type Charlton mags. Lots of stuff there that would benefit from seeing the light of day once again - especially in the ESSENTIALS/SHOWCASE format.

Werewolf story quotes from a majestic story by writer Joe Gill (drawn by artist Pete Morisi) "Guest of Honour" in GHOST MANOR #63:

"It's odd how my dog suddenly dislikes you, Mikhail! I wonder why?"

"It is Count Igor... A fine man... Except when the full moon made him a devil!"

"It's my sad duty to tell you that Mikhail is the werewolf among us!"

(Third person) "Karl Hauss was cast aside as his dog bravely attacked the hideous monster of the night!"
