I'd like to, but probably not right away. I hope it isn't wrapped in plastic and I can't skim through it. At $24.99 I'd like to try before buying. I'll wait for feedback.

I haven't picked up any handbooks since those 80s handbooks. I often want a quick reference on specific characters and having this would come in handy. I know a lot of work goes into these and with each passing year histories become more convoluted. It's good to see that some people are trying to keep it all straight.

Since the classic 80s Handbooks, of which I have the Essential copies as well of the original copies, the handbooks have been very spotty, but certainly better over the last 3 years.

IF Wednesday's Handbook is a real gem worth $24.99, I'll be the first to let you know.

I think it's fair to say that if the first volume is extremely well-done and an obvious labor of love, the rest of the voumes will be as well.

However, if it's largely reprinted or outdated material, then, No.

And if the illustrations choosen are horrendous, as they occasionally have been over the last 17 years, well, to me that's an obvious sign that something is gravely amiss.

I received a little package in the mail today and am about to send you a thank you email.
