Since the classic 80s Handbooks, of which I have the Essential copies as well of the original copies, the handbooks have been very spotty, but certainly better over the last 3 years.
IF Wednesday's Handbook is a real gem worth $24.99, I'll be the first to let you know.
I think it's fair to say that if the first volume is extremely well-done and an obvious labor of love, the rest of the voumes will be as well.
However, if it's largely reprinted or outdated material, then, No.
And if the illustrations choosen are horrendous, as they occasionally have been over the last 17 years, well, to me that's an obvious sign that something is gravely amiss.
I received a little package in the mail today and am about to send you a thank you email.
Actually, I will probably get it through Barnes and Noble. It's listed as having an online price of $19.99 and if you are a member it brings it down couple bucks more. That $25.00 membership fee pays for itself after a few purchases.
Call me Doc Cheap.
