That said, I think tight continuity is both beyond the ability of JQ's Marvel, and also something JQ doesn't really care about in a big way.

I also think there's no denying we no longer see the kind of professionalism and quality at Marvel that we knew in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Look at 9/10s Bendis' New Avengers, for example, Chuck Austen's Uncanny X-Men, the Civil War title, or House of M.

Gadzooks! What tripe.

..but in some aspects I still would add the 90s. DeFalco's Thor and FF, David's Hulk, Harras' Avengers, they were gems in the department of continuity.
