Attok passes....he goes long....long....the defender falls down, he has an open receiver! It's Fiasco! Caught! Touchdown!! (This is a book I am looking forward too)
> CAPTAIN AMERICA #38....Oh, look, it's the Red Skull! Oh, yeah, baby! We haven't seen this guy in ages! Oh, wait, he's been in the last 37 issues. D'oh! "The Never-Ending Story" Part 38 of Infinity! Watch out, Rhino! The Red Skull is itching to become Chief Overused Villain Ever!
I guess you kinda have to look at Red Skull as a supporting character, or even a star in this book's cast. To be blunt, this is one book that has regularly featured Tony Stark and I still enjoy it. Yes, the story has been unfolding over a long period of time, but at least each individual issue has something exciting and actually drives the story forward. It's not just a dialogue heavy, anemic drag-out issue by issue. But to each his own. Cap is one of the books that keeps me into comics these days.
> IRON FIST....*flushes toilet*; nothing against the writers, but the idea of multiple Iron Fists through the ages (ala Witchblade and the Darkness and....) and multiple cities like K'un-Lun totally ruins the uniqueness that was once Danny Rand and K'un-Lun. Just my opinion. I gave this series a try for five issues and I just couldn't take it.
You flush it, I flaunt it. Iron Fist is another reason I still read comics today. - Doc Shallot, I look forward to your post on the Green Mist one shot. I enjoyed it too. I was actually going to post about it myself, but hey, you called shotgun.
> GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY....cool book alert! Quasar!!!! Gamora!!!! Plus, Drax, Starlord and Adam Warlock! Plus, Abnett and Lanning, writers of NOVA. I'm in!
I'm in as well. I had reservations, but since Annihlation Conquest has delivered for me, I cant see why I wouldn't want to be in on this book.
> IRON MAN: DIRECTOR OF SHIELD #29....Sweet Christmas!!!!!! Madame Masque is back!!!!! Not that fakeout thing version Bendis used in NA, but the real one (I hope)! And the Maggia is back!!!! Whoohoooo! While I don't collect this title anymore, I'm on board for these four issues, baby! Whitney!!!! my second favorite comic book character of all time! *love*
I have no plans with anything modern day Iron Man. The movie? Yep. I just got the Demon in a Bottle tpb on the cheap. But that's about it for me.
> And even more Maggia goodness in MARVEL ADVENTURES IRON MAN #13, with Blacklash! This title is now on my pull list, folks. I just started buying it this week with #10 (featuring Spider-Woman!), and I can't wait to get #12, with Kiber the Cruel!!!
While this version of Iron Man is not a victim of 616 characterizing, like the Ultimate IM, he suffers my ignorance simply due to overexposure. Even Wolverine looks scarce compared to IM these days, and that's saying something.
> FANTASTIC FOUR #557, GHOST RIDER #23, X-FACTOR: THE QUICK AND THE DEAD....each book with the most shocking last pages ever! Well, only one of them can claim that, and I doubt any of them will pull it off. Ah, you've gotta love that idiotic Marvel hype machine.
Yeah, Marvel needs some new tag lines. I will likely be in on the FF, as i'm giving the new creative team a chance to win me over, but GR is not on my radar and X-Factor is on the edge. I may get it, but only if I hear good things about it.
> CAPTAIN BRITIAN AND MI:13....since Spitfire and Black Knight are a part of this team, I'm all over this new title.
> MS. MARVEL #27...BEST....BOOK....EVER! As usual! William Wagner's secrets are revealed! Is he the secret Kree? I mean, they're revealing his stuff in this storyline, and since the Skrull is on the Lightning Strike team....if true, that means whoever Sarah Day really is is another set of marbles (Hecate). Would be neat if Sarah turned out to be Dr. Minerva, though.
Two titles I don't read. I started with the Ms Marvel series, but moved on around issue 6 or so. Now, based on reviews, I feel like i'd be hopelessly lost if I wanted to jump back on board...and truthfully, I am avoiding as many needless SI tie-ins as I can.
> Is that Machinesmith I see on the cover of NEW WARRIORS #12?
New Warriors has also fallen off my radar. It was taking too long (Too many issues) to get to a point where I felt it probably should have started off as a series.
> Nova versus Galactus? BAM! Nuff said!
Nova is another title that I say keeps me in comics. Good stuff, and this will hopefully be no exception.
> Better not kill off Mystique, Jason Aaron, or you'll be sharing that brownstone with Grant Morrison (murderer of Darkstar), Peter David (murderer of Lady Mastermind) and Dan Slott (apparent murderer of Diamondback). >:-D
Man o man, can you ever hold a grudge!!!
> NEW EXILES #6....more Claremontian goodness.
First issue was good, but I don't know...i'm not a huge fan of Claremont's modern day work. I will probably not buy another issue.
