It's good to hear about Legacy continuing Carey's great run on this title. I was a little worried about this book maybe being too retro but it sounds like it has one foot firmly set in the present.

Yes, Carey's a great talent and having him be a major contributor to the X-Franchise is a great thing.

I didn't pick it up this week. These days very few monthly titles make the jump into my buy stack the first week they come out.

Have you picked up Project Superpowers? I'm telling ya--you'll like it. It uses old Golden Age characters like The Twelve. There's even a Dynamic Man in it, which caused me some brief confusion. This Dynamic Man is more along the lines of the Captain Marvel family evil Captain Marvel family.

I don't want to ruin it for you, but we find that Tempo messed with time at Exodus's behest just after the last MC battle, and so the Acolytes escaped with Xavier, who Exodus and the others, including Amanda V., are trying to heal if possible, especially his mind.

So the story takes place in the present 'reality,' as well as the past, where Xavier's fevered mind is wandering.

EXCELLENT characterization throughout.

I haven't heard of that series of which you speak, but will look for it next time I wander into my comic shop. Who publishes it?

Feel free to get a Handbook, but I really can't say, knowing you as I do, that I can recommend it to you highly.

If you like the recent handbooks, you'll like this. That's the best I can say about it. It's just okay. It may not be worth $19.99 or $24.99 to you.
