Stern killing off the Melter was another one, of course, directly related to my RE: line. And the Scourge storyline ultimately came to almost nothing. It was a cheap shot.

The Basilisk, the Vamp, the Wraith, Turner D. Century, Commander Kraken... most of those who died were too good to come to their end.

It was the writer's lack of imagination in most cases that 'doomed them,' not their inherent lack of potential.

The new cosmic Wraith is very cool, however.
