Who's your favorite writers and the writers at Marvel that you dislike?

Dislike-wise, um, Peter David and Dan Slott. Well known around here, heh.

Favorite-wise, right now it's Brain Reed and Christos Gage.

Curious experiment: I recently bought AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #14, if you can believe it. I bought it for SECRET INVASION purposes but also because of Gage. It will be interesting to see if I like the issue. Seriously. My second favorite writer and my second most disliked writer are writing the same issue. What in the holy blue hell is up with that? How's this going to work? How will this read? Will I like parts of it and hate the rest? Will I blame the wrong person for something I dislike (or even like)? Sweet Mary Sunshine, this will be some experiment, eh? I know at least Doc Shallot will be curious as to the results!

*Brubaker: he made me like Cap America and does an awesome Cap America without Cap America comics
*Slott: he know how to use third string characters and make them cool and delivers awesome dialogues, mystery, humour and action in the same time
*Bendis: he made the Avengers great and write the best Spider Man book
*Vaughan: Runaways. nuff said
*Yost&Kyle: loathed their work at the beginning but love it now
*Ellis: it's a hit or miss, but Nextwave and Thunderbolts were awesome

*Casey: there are some of his comics I really like (Mr Majestic, X-Men Year One), but I find most of them boring with dislikable characters (Wildcats, Defenders, Uncanny X-Men...)
*Defalco: I liked him before, but now his name is associeted with what I consider one of the worst comics ever (Spider Ugly Girl)
*Grievoux: I's a bit early to judge him, but his New Warriors was one of the biggest desapointment I ever had in comics
*Reed: Like the fact he's using some obscur charcacters but Cap Marvel and Ms Marvel are incredibly boring.
*Loeb. I don't dislike ULtimates as much as the majority, but still find it pretty bad. And Hulk is a lamefest.
