Previous Post Who's your favorite writers and the writers at Marvel that you dislike? Dislike-wise, um, Peter David and Dan Slott. Well known around here, heh. Favorite-wise, right now it's Brain Reed and Christos Gage. Curious experiment: I recently bought AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #14, if you can believe it. I bought it for SECRET INVASION purposes but also because of Gage. It will be interesting to see if I like the issue. Seriously. My second favorite writer and my second most disliked writer are writing the same issue. What in the holy blue hell is up with that? How's this going to work? How will this read? Will I like parts of it and hate the rest? Will I blame the wrong person for something I dislike (or even like)? Sweet Mary Sunshine, this will be some experiment, eh? I know at least Doc Shallot will be curious as to the results!

First on a personal level I'd like to say I'd prefer if ALL the writers would please stick to PG-13 language in interviews. That makes me not like them at the moment. I know Bendis and Millar cuss like sailors all the time,I'm sure others do, but even Joey Q drops the F-Bomb around so who's setting the example? Stop it guys, speak professionally and let me allow my elementary aged kid come to a comic con without hearing protection.

Favorites: I really enjoys Slott and Reed the most in the Marvel mix right now. RAS has his high points, too. All of them seem to do plenty of research into their characters, the scripting is natural and unique character to character, the story's flow naturally.

Least Favorites: Eh.. Austen's stuff was pretty wretched. I don't really DISLIKE Bendis or Millar as much as most of my posts make it sound. I'm just befuddled by the adoration tossed on their work when it's pretty much average at best to me.

I read ONE Hudlin story, I will NEVER do so again. Just sayin'

All the guys that put the Annihilation stuff together are bang up first rate top of their game.
