That's funny. I live here in Upstate New York and usually hear tell of things like that. Must've been a news item that fell off the radar.

I can tell you this though - I just got back from Disneyworld with my daughter today - and I have been to the Marvel Adventure city in Niagara Falls a few years ago now. It looked awesome from the outside - gigantic superheroes hanging around the building and whatnot. I saw a Spiderman loitering around outside giving autographs and photo ops to kids. But otherwise, the interior was fairly disappointing. A low rent arcade at best. Me and the party I was with did go on one ride inside, the one that looked like the best thing they had to offer, and I remember it was okay, but the kids with us were a little underwhelmed. I cant even remember the experience or what heroes it featured! Like everything else in the Falls and Disney for that matter, it was pretty much just another store hawking overpriced merchandise.

Sorry to have heard about your disappointing visit there, though. I hope you guys made it all up in other parts of the Falls - the actual Falls themselves being something fantastic to behold in their own right.

If you haven't done Islands of Adventure though?

Islands of Adventure, specifically the Spider-Man ride, is the best thing you can do with the kid from a Marvel-y standpoint (outside of sharing a read with the comics old and new of course). Trust me, I loved it, but wanted to move on through the park, but couldn't before my daughter made me ride that puppy about 5 times. I have to admit, I wanted to ride it over and over too. It blows away anything they attempted in the Falls. It also is better than probably 80 percent of Disney's similar attractions. There are of course, other rides there, the Hulk coaster among them (and thats awesome too). It also has comic stores! Mostly just toys and Essentials type books though, as most of the comics on the rack are months old. But it's cool to walk down an entire street devoted to the Marvel characters, and something my daughter loved a lot too.

...and it was ok...not great....but my 5 year old would've dug it.

Islands of Adventure is awesome without a doubt. A must see for any Marvel fan. The Spidey ride is fun. hulk coaster is better though.
