Yep, I'm way down on my books. $3.99 killed that option of occasionally spoiling myself. I was a 15-20 books a month person. I stick with:Â
Amazing Spiderman, (I have a feeling after issue 600 there will be a $3.99 but perhaps not if they keep the 3x a month)
New Avengers (as long as Spiderman is on the team) Would like to buy Mighty and Dark but alas.
I skipped a lot I would have bought or tried (the Noir series.) Dropped Punisher Max, and all the Batman stuff immediately after the RIP.
I even skipped on the last issues of Ultimate FF and Ultimate X-Men which were jacked up to the $3.99 (for one issue? Why?? not even double sized)
Glad and sorry to see I'm not alone.
I already posted this at the DCU MB.
Here's an interesting article at Newsarama's blog: http://blog.newsarama.com/2009/04/24/line-by-line-trimming-the-pull-list/
Reading through all the replies to the article, it's noticeable how much the price increase has influenced on so many readers to start being more selective in what they buy, and start dropping titles.
In my own case, I always made sure to be careful as to spend too much on comics, so if I drop a title it's mostly based on how entertained I'm being by it, rather than how it costs. I preffer paying more for a title I enjoy rather than paying anything for a title I don't care for. But that's me. How about you?
