Now looking back, we can see where the line failed. One of the biggest factors is that the stories broke the initial rules; no resurrections, no strange settings, etc. For USM, it probably failed with Carnage and the death of Gwen Stacey. At the very least, when she was resurrected. For UXM, it was when Beast died. For the Ultimates, it was Loeb. Or we could look at the larger factors, like inconsistent characterization (UFF), short sighted planning, just plain bad ideas, replacing Millar with smaller names, sensationalism (incest, sex tape, cannabilism) or even taking into consideration that the line was redundant with changes in the regular titles.

I agree with you. That's approximatively where I quit theses titles.

Other thing that bothered me to the point of letting go was every arc seemed just about ultimizating a new character.
